Stand Up For Pits with Rebecca Corry

The SUFP Foundation is dedicated to ending abuse, discrimination and saving the lives of pit bull “type" dogs. This "type" of dog based solely on appearance is the target of extreme abuse, discriminatory bans and has been falsely vilified for over 3 decades and it must end. Stand Up For Pits events help us to educate, advocate and save lives. Pit Bull type dogs are born inherently good and deserve to be protected, respected and treated with compassion and without prejudice like all life deserves.

These shows save countless lives, help shelter animals, raise national awareness for our dogs and support other pit bull “type" dog rescues around the country working hard. BARK NATION will be bringing available Pibbles for adoption and benefitting from selling merchandise, accepting donations and doing silent auctions. Ticket sales go to the Stand Up For Pits Foundation.

There is much work to be done and we are all in this together. We thank those who remain dedicated to being the voice for the voiceless and saving lives. We look so forward to seeing you all in Detroit and please remember to bring some much needed shelter supplies for your local shelter animals!

React Presents: Poolside with Neil Frances

Poolside began as a recording project in a converted Los Angeles backyard pool house in early 2011, producing sunny tracks of subaquatic indie dance music in this makeshift recording studio. Surfacing first in the form of a YouTube video for the catchy track "Do You Believe?" Poolside were soon gaining local and national attention, with DJs like by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, techno legend Derrick May, and disco don Todd Terje spinning these tracks at events and a growing online following. Throughout 2011 Poolside continued making waves with a sound called "daytime disco" through tracks like a cover of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" as well as original tunes. In 2012 Poolside worked on a remix for longtime disco punks The Rapture and held fans over with a new single and video for a song called "Slow Down" as they prepared to release their debut album. That album, Pacific Standard Time, was released in July of 2012 on their own Day & Night label.

AEG Presents: Liz Phair - Amps on the Lawn Tour

Liz Phair is a Grammy-nominated singer songwriter whose debut album, Exile In Guyville, is considered by music critics to be a landmark of indie rock. She has been a recording artist and touring performer for twenty-five years, paving the way for countless music artists, particularly women, who count her among their major influences.  Her deeply clever and often brutally candid songs have been garnering critical praise since she began her career in the early 1990s in Chicago by self-releasing audio cassettes under the name Girly-Sound.  The intense viral response to these early tracks led to Phair signing with the independent record label Matador Records.
