Gutter Demons on the Garden Bowl Lanes

Since their unholy birth in 2001, Gutter Demons have been tearing up the scene across Canada, US, and Europe with their intense stage shows, raucous rock‘n'roll music, red-blooded rockabilly roots, punk and metal potency, and downright dirty musicianship. Quickly becoming Canada's most recognized disciples of Macabre, they have quickly gained a strong following by playing their unique brand of mutant Psychobilly. This hard working DIY three piece brought their unique approach to Psychobilly music. The Demons psycho sound is refreshing and deeper than most of their contemporary peers. Playing the horror cards in a more subtle way, GD always took great pride in releasing rich & well written concept albums. The real madness happens on stage. GD is a fast & furious mean machine

Good Show Presents: Brother Ali - Own Light Tour wsg Sa-Roc

Over the past 17 years, Brother Ali has earned wide critical acclaim for his deeply personal, socially conscious, and inspiring brand of hip-hop. Under Rhymesayers Entertainment, he’s unleashed a series of lauded projects, establishing himself as one of the most respected independent voices in music. The latest chapter in that celebrated journey is All the Beauty in This Whole Life, a 15-track collection produced entirely by Atmosphere’s Anthony “Ant” Davis.

"This entire album is based on the reality that beauty is the splendor of truth" says the Minneapolis MC. "Beauty in all of its forms is the outward manifestation of love and virtue. It soothes the soul and pulls it gently toward the truth it communicates. Every word and note of this album is intended to either reflect beauty, or expose the ugliness that blocks us from living lives of meaning." WSG: Sa-Roc

Good Show Presents: Pokey LaFarge w/ Lillie Mae

Day after day, pencil in hand, always dressed in blue. Never feeling satisfied. Itchy. Incomplete. Attired halfway between a businessman and a janitor, Pokey LaFarge tries to make sense of trouble he’s seen and trouble he’s been in. This is the Great Why of his unending passion for songwriting. An unquenchable need to be heard in a world where everyone is talking and nobody is listening. WSG: Lillie Mae

DJ Premier and The Badder Band Present The "Catalogue Bash" Tour

Despite Premier's long history as a DJ, live instrumentation has been a part of his arsenal since he was a kid and he says he's always wanted to play in a band. Growing up in Texas, he learned how to play drums and bass — his teacher was the father of rapper Travis Scott — and also played guitar in church with his older sister.

Black Iris Presents: REVEREND HORTON HEAT w/ Agent Orange & Flat Duo Jets

Loaded guns, space heaters, and big skies. Welcome to the lethal littered landscape of Jim Heath’s imagination. True to his high evangelical calling, Jim is a Revelator, both revealing & reinterpreting the country-blues-rock roots of American music. He’s a time-travelling space-cowboy on a endless interstellar musical tour, and we are all the richer & “psychobillier” for getting to tag along.

Seeing REVEREND HORTON HEAT live is a transformative experience. Flames come off the guitars. Heat singes your skin. There’s nothing like the primal tribal rock & roll transfiguration of a Reverend Horton Heat show. Jim becomes a slicked-back 1950′s rock & roll shaman channeling Screamin’ Jay Hawkins through Buddy Holly, while Jimbo incinerates the Stand-Up Bass. And then there are the “Heatettes”. Those foxy rockabilly chicks dressed in poodle-skirts and cowboy boots slamming the night away. It’s like being magically transported into a Teen Exploitation picture from the 1950′s that’s currently taking place in the future.

React Presents: Westside Gunn & Conway w/ DJ Green Lantern and Benny x Daringer

Westside Gunn & Conway, who are real-life brothers, first started in the rap game in the early 2000’s. In the last year, Conway has dropped tracks off his Devil’s Reject mixtape series while Westside Gunn dropped his debut studio album FLYGOD to critical acclaim. At the end of last year, the pair shared with B-Real that they’d finished an entire album with The Alchemist in less than two days and plan to drop it soon. Thoughts of Ionesco - Album Release Party

Recording their first record when two-thirds of the bandmembers were still in high school and breaking up when most were barely 21 years old, it's a wonder that the infamous Detroit outfit Thoughts of Ionesco even lasted the few years that they did. Confrontational to audiences, uninterested in record labels, exceedingly dark and heavy, the band played music that was once referred to by Alternative Press magazine as "the ultimate realization of pain-through-sound." Forming in 1996, the hardcore, art-damaged soul of TOI materialized around vocalist/guitarist Sean Hoen, bassist Nathan Miller, and drummer Brian Repa; the band also included a sax player by the end of its career. Repa left and returned several times during the band's existence, and Derek Grant (ex-Suicide Machines, Alkaline Trio) served as his replacement for a stretch from 1997-1998. Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears

On their new album Backlash, Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears reclaim their original moniker and return to their much-celebrated take on classic soul and punked-up R&B. As Lewis explains, the band's fourth full-length confronts the ugly reality of "dealing with the backlash from the things you've done in the past," delivering a host of songs rooted in regret but steeped in a defiant spirit. Bombastic but nuanced, Backlash ultimately unfolds as an album both joyfully chaotic and intensely cathartic.
