Harlem :: Friendly Ghost
City Center :: Open/House
Harlem is a self-described thrash-trash-punk band covered in barbecue sauce and feathers. Take one listen and you won’t argue. And stop asking them if they’re from New York. They reside in Austin by way of Nashville.
City Center is a musical endeavor by Fred Thomas of Saturday Looks Good to Me, His Name Is Alive, Flashpapr and Lovesick as well as Ryan Howard of Saturday Looks Good to Me and Canada. Sounds of pop-infused, samples, beats and guitar with Thomas’ signature style of sentiment lingering between the distortion, loops and instruments. These dudes are actually based in New York. Go figure.
